Meniere’s disease is a condition, which affects the inner ear wherein person experiences symptoms of dizziness/vertigo, aural fullness, progressive hearing loss and tinnitus. Several hearing problems are accompanied by this ringing in the ears or tinnitus. These include age-related loss of hearing, acoustic neuroma, and Meniere’s disease. When a person has tinnitus, he or she hears a ringing sound even though there is no outside source. It may not sound so serious and detrimental, but millions of individuals are severely affected by it.
Aside from posing an implication that a person could have either one of the mentioned conditions, this unwanted sound has debilitating effects in itself. It could get so loud that the sufferer does not get enough sleep. This causes the sufferer to get fatigued easily while performing his tasks and activities. This also weakens the immune system, thus making the person so vulnerable to diseases and infections.
